Meeting Santa
Helen and Angus had a ball at the rugby club party for the 'minis' today, winning dancing competitions and culminating with a visit from the great man in red himself..... A couple of pictures here show how flushed Helen got when she met Santa - lovely! Grandma also shared the moment.

A note about Matt and his Rugby
Matt loves his Rugby. Recently he joined LRGS secondary school - a great rugby school -and has made it to the A team including a spell as captain. He has been all over he north of England playing since he started in September, we are very proud. Here are a few shots I took on a dark November day (low light photos!) on the touch line on Saturday.
Angus's 9th Birthday Climbing Party
Earlier this month Angus had a special belated birthday party with his friends and siblings.
Musical month
November was a busy month of music in our house. In the village we helped organize a mini blues festival and co-hosted the blues superstars 'Paul Lamb and the Kingsnakes'. Not to mention Angus has just started the trumpet, Helen the ballet lessons, Dad's band out on the road, Matt starting guitar lessons and Angus and Helen on Diversity Radio 105.5 FM every Saturday at 10.30.......

On the 3 peaks podium...?
Well a photo on the podium .... but not that we deserved it. We have just done the 3 peaks and this year is was a special one, 3 peaks with four cousins competing, with Mark (from New Zealand) and Adrian (from Southampton) joining old timers Dave and I. It was a special family event with all 4 finishing, despite various adventures - you can read all about it on their own blogs...

A batch of photos taken by our faithful support team or wives, mum and children
By the way the chap on the right is our mutual mate Steve Riley - Dave was not available cause he was on his way to casualty - but you can read about that on his blog.

Holiday pictures
We are just back in the UK following 2 weeks camping on the Costa Brava in Spain. Snaps from the iPhone were updated regularly (thanks to some free wireless at the Campsite) and now we have just uploaded the 'quality' images too - the full set can be viewed here. Highlights include meeting many new friends and families, spending time with Andy, Caroline and Archie who joined us for a few days in the middle, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, trip to the water park and a trip to Barcelona. The sun and the sea also proved a great convalescence for my leg. A great holiday, faultless.

Curnows visit - and things move on
Curnows Visit, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.
Over half term Chalie and Juliette and the girls stopped by for a barbi. After many years of Charlie and I playing music together, it was great to be joined by the boys. Here is a little video (its flickr so might not stream that well) and there are also some pictures of the balmy evening.

Helen gets to see her Elephants
Helen has always had a thing about elephants. Today she saw them for real the first time at Chester Zoo, on a day trip to meet up with the Ebners, our friends from Devon. Great fun among the animals and crowds in the sunshine, with the odd ice cream thrown in for good measure. Everyone is sleeping well tonight.

What a great picture of Angus on the home straight, running to 2nd place in the Hutton Roof race yesterday, watched by Anne, Helen and Polly. Matt also did a great run and was 3rd in his class - a great all round perfomance from their school. Well done boys - lots of excited Dad pictures here.

Pony payback for Helen
After a whole winter season of standing on the touch line supporting her older brothers at Rugby, we felt Helen needed a special morning of pony pampering in the Tatham Fells. And we made the boys walk alongside all the way and watch! Thanks Helen, nice form

Matt's end of season Rugby award
Yesterday marked the end of the season and Matt got the award for 'most improved player' and was introduced as a player 'who will turn into an excellent rugby player'. Naturally we were very proud and it marks the hard work Matt has put into studying the game this season. Well done Matt! Enjoy a break this summer.
Camping at Stickle Tarn
Last week, Matt, Angus and I climbed high to Stickle tarn in Langdale for an overnight camping adventure. It was a magical moment, in near summer conditions, and some great pictures were also captured. Happy days.....

Mountain Biking at Hutton Roof
Angus and I just had a cheeky hour together out on the fell - lovely moment.
Grandma beams with pride
I could not resist sharing this picture of Grandma beaming with pride as she watched her Grand-children in Peter Pan. Uncle Keith is in the foreground (right).
Peter Pan
Matt, Angus and Helen thrilled us (including Aunt Cindi, Uncle Keith, Grandma and Gran) yesterday with the school performance of Peter Pan. A wonderful full length musical production that made us feel very proud. A few extra pictures are here - we are so impressed we are going again tonight, so will try to get some video too.
