Kim and Anne reunited

Kim and Anne c. late 1970s, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.

Recently we were visited by Anne's nursing friend Kim whom she trained with at Glasgow's Gartnavel 1981-84. Great to welcome her and husband Barry and a good prompt to look out some old snaps from the past and scan them in.....

Curnows visit - and things move on

Curnows Visit, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.

Over half term Chalie and Juliette and the girls stopped by for a barbi. After many years of Charlie and I playing music together, it was great to be joined by the boys. Here is a little video (its flickr so might not stream that well) and there are also some pictures of the balmy evening.

Helen gets to see her Elephants

Chester Zoo, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.

Helen has always had a thing about elephants. Today she saw them for real the first time at Chester Zoo, on a day trip to meet up with the Ebners, our friends from Devon. Great fun among the animals and crowds in the sunshine, with the odd ice cream thrown in for good measure. Everyone is sleeping well tonight.

Angus runs to 2nd place at Hutton roof

Hutton Roof Fell Race 2011, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.

What a great picture of Angus on the home straight, running to 2nd place in the Hutton Roof race yesterday, watched by Anne, Helen and Polly. Matt also did a great run and was 3rd in his class - a great all round perfomance from their school. Well done boys - lots of excited Dad pictures here.

Pony payback for Helen

, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.

After a whole winter season of standing on the touch line supporting her older brothers at Rugby, we felt Helen needed a special morning of pony pampering in the Tatham Fells. And we made the boys walk alongside all the way and watch! Thanks Helen, nice form
