A Happy Mother's Day

Lovely Mother's Day, we had all 3 of the 'Mothers' here, including Gran who is just out of hospital recovering from Hepititus E, so it was a bonus to all be together. Mum (Anne) had to work the daytime, so Grandma Angus Helen and I went to visit Grandpa's grave, then afternoon tea. Anne got home in time for rib of beef meal and to see a totally shattered Matt return from his rugby tour. Here are the photos

Helen's Blog: Helen Haygarth's Helm Hill Race

Untitled, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.
Today I went to Helm Hill race, with my Dad. I enjoyed it very much but it was very tiring and long. There was a fast flat start with the wind blowing in your face, then it flipped over to be a very hard climb. Eventually it started to tilt back down to the easy part. It felt good to get a drink at the end of the race. Next me and my dad went and got a caramel bar. My dad wanted to stop and go to look at trails bikes at Clawthorpe and some of his pictures are here.

This weekend my cousin Kate married here new husband Shay in Nelson New Zealand. We were invited to go but it was impossible for us because of the distance and cost. Here is a photo taken August 2012 when they visited us. We wish them the best for the future. Happy Days.

Helen blog of the Fell Race today at Staveley in Cartmel

Here I am taken in action again today. My friend Annie also joined me for the race. Poor Annie fell in a bush on the descent. Today the race was steep up and down. It was rainy and cold. It was fun.

Angus and I in a cross country race

Untitled, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.
Angus and I went to do a cross country race in Giggleswick today. Both me and Angus were very competitive and raced right to the line. I was beating him at the last minute and then he sneaked past me over the line - I was very annoyed.

Walk up Red Screes

Untitled, originally uploaded by Phil Haygarth.
Yesterday Dad took us up Red Screes and we saw some people training rescue dogs and we saw one dog find someone - very exciting. After that we went to Staveley and we had a hot chocolate and a cake. Here are some pics of the trip.
