Half term in Cornwall - best yet!
Well it is 5 years since we started this annual event and for me this one was the best yet. I think it was due to a number of things really. On this occasion we were joined by the Bol family in addition to the regulars of the Bells and the Chadwicks and more people made it more fun and gave us more options to do things or simply chill (see previous trips blogged 2006 here and 2007 here). I guess it was also easier for us because the children are that bit older - the boys played on their own nearly all the time and slept together (with the others) in one room - what an adventure for Angus! St Agnes was the great venue (what a village!) and the 18 of us stayed in a cracking house, next door to the St Agnes Hotel, venue for a 'sharpener' of St Austell's finest Ale most days. The coastal walk from Perranporth to St Anges with Tom and Matthew was a high for me, whereas the Murder Mystery night 'murder at cafe resistance' was the social high of many highs. Other notables were trips to Tate St Ives, beautiful Lostwithiel and Fowey, Newquay Zoo (3 years to the day we found out we were having Helen and a real hit for the children). We also had a bonus invite to other South Zealites staying in another holiday home in St Kew. Roll on next year! Pictures here from us and also Tom's pictures here (even better!) and Roland's - artiste extrordinare!

Sounds lovely. Bet you're feeling refreshed enough to go back to work now for a couple of weeks.
