Here we see my brother proudly photographing my niece Lily (7) today in a cyclo cross race in the Lake District National Park HQ at Brockhole, next to lake Windermere. It was a stuningly lovely Autumn moment with the Langdales pikes the background; our boy Angus (7) also took part and delivered the goods and more, much to his and our fizzing pride (Matt would like to have done it, but is recovering from a tummy bug (next time!)). The day ended watching 'semi-pro' Uncle Dave ride to what we think was second place in the grown-ups race. It was a a sporting day for all with much Haygarth pride all around, but first an foremost it was family moment. Well done Lily, Angus and Dave and stalwart supporters Matt, Helen and Anne and especially the two riders under 8. Another weekend of parental pride. Wheels within wheels. Lots of piccies here.......

Not sure what my boss would think of the semi pro bit. If anyone wants to pay me to ride my bike it's a nice thought though.
Lovely fun day. Children showing us all how tough they are.
Glad you're within reach of such muddy fun.
