Remembering Sally

Sally was our Guinea Pig and today we had a sad time in Docker, because Sally died of old age. She out lived her sister Rosie who died 2 years earlier.  She was approximately six years old and was a great character.  She would squeak for attention every time we walked past her hutch even if her food and water was full!  It was very sad when she died last night.

Here is a poem by Helen, which she wrote this morning for the funeral in the garden, where she was buried on top of her sister:

I too will miss Sally. I hunted for dandelion leaves nearly each time I visited Docker Garth. They were a favourite treat for her.
Sweet little Sally, love Grandma xx
